The dramatic symbolism of the Yin Yang Horoscope
As the symbolism is at least between 2500 and 3000 years old (!) it includes an array of ancient illustrations, varying from pictures of a serene and balanced Nature to political insurrection and even torture! But they all serve as metaphors for one part or another of your personality and/or destiny as seen by the Yin Yang Horoscope. So when birds burn their nests or the young (inexperienced) carry corpses, we need not be too alarmed. Yet there is surely some hidden meaning to be extracted from the ancient situation/symbolism and which applies to the forces in our life. The interpretation will pay close attention to the few ancient words uttered in elucidation of the Yin Yang Horoscope. The Chinese believed that the "people of good fortune spoke few words", which of course not makes the task any easier! Luckily, these symbolic texts are mostly derived from the various groupings of associations belonging to each of the eight trigrams out of which a birth hexagram (horoscope) is made, so the meaning lies waiting to be discovered within the birth symbol itself. In common with other forms of Chinese astrology, the Yin Yang Horoscope takes into consideration not only the heavenly influences at the moment of birth, but also those of the earth. That is why this astrological system merits its prefix "Yin Yang", although it originally was known as Ho Lo Li Shu (The Ho and Lo rivers' rational numbers, thus indicating a numerological aspect during the calculation of a horoscope). |
